Stay hydrated through these nutritious foods

 
 

Few Americans drink the recommended eight to ten glasses of fluids per day, so Registered Dietitian- Nutritionist Jamie Lee McIntyre introduced food options that can improve hydration. She also shared the recipe for her Florida orange juice sunrise smoothie bowl.

Ingredients:

1 cup of orange Juice, frozen into cubes
2 frozen bananas
1 cup of Greek yogurt
1 teaspoon of honey

Optional toppings:

  • ½ pitaya, balled

  • Honeycomb

  • Bee pollen

  • Edible flowers

Directions:

In a blender, combine the orange juice ice cubes, bananas, Greek yogurt and honey.
Pour the smoothie into a bowl, and add toppings. Enjoy!
